Dick Wolfe

Mr. Wolfe has more than 30 years experience in the appraisal industry, including the last 22 years working directly in the mass appraisal sector for government jurisdictions.  He is presently directly responsible for maintaining customer relations for all of Komtek Systems Corporation’s current Kansas County Government clients. 

Mr. Wolfe began his appraisal career as a staff appraiser for several financial institutions in the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana tri-state region.  In 1980 he relocated to Colorado and formed the Wolfe Appraisal Company.  In 1988 Mr. Wolfe relocated to the New England region and began employment in the mass appraisal field. Subsequently, Mr. Wolfe accepted a position as regional manager for Finnegan and Associates Reevaluation Firm with overall responsibilities for all the corporation’s projects in the Connecticut, New York, and Western Massachusetts area.  These projects included the complete reevaluation of the Connecticut towns of Southington, Vernon, Simsbury, and Waterbury, the Massachusetts towns of Stockbridge and Chicopee, and the New York towns of Colonie and Bethlehem.  In 1993 Finnegan and Associates was acquired by Cole, Layer, and Trumble Company and Mr. Wolfe worked as project manager for the town of Farmington, Connecticut.


During his years in the reevaluation business Mr. Wolfe had supervisory responsibilities for projects that had as few as 9 employees to as many as 56 full time staff.  He also gained experience and expertise with several different computer assisted mass appraisal software applications and platforms.  In 1994 Mr. Wolfe was hired by Computer Information Concepts (CIC) of Greeley, Colorado to supervise and manage support and training of the company’s Colorado County Government clients.  During his employment with CIC Mr. Wolfe held several positions of increasing responsibility until the time of his departure in the spring of 2003.  At that time Mr. Wolfe was the project leader for all of CIC’s County Government clients,  including 20 Kansas Counties that were utilizing the Komtek Tax Administration, Fund Accounting, and Payroll systems.


Since April of 2003 Mr. Wolfe has held his present position of Manager, Customer Relations for Komtek Systems Corporation.  His responsibilities have included maintaining adequate customer satisfaction levels for all of  Komtek’s Kansas County customers.  Mr. Wolfe is also currently responsible for primary support and training of the 200+ employees in 29 offices of the 9 Kansas Counties utilizing the Komtek software applications.  Mr. Wolfe is considered by many as an expert on Kansas tax administration laws and statutes.  He is frequently contacted for consultation on procedures and processing requirements by staff members of the Appraiser, Clerk, and Treasurer Offices in all of Komtek’s Kansas County customers.

Shawn Gustafson

Shawn Gustafson

 Mr. Gustafson has nearly 24 years experience in the computer software industry with support of the County Government sector having been his primary responsibility over that term.  Currently, as technical director with Komtek Systems, he manages applications development and maintenance of existing systems.  Additionally, his responsibilities include oversight and maintenance of the company infrastructure and assisting other staff with software support and customer relations.


Mr. Gustafson started his career with Komtek Systems Corporation in 1987 as an entry-level programmer working with a team developing and supporting the County Government applications.  As he gained experience, his duties expanded to include on-site training, major applications design and development, applications support, customer relations, and management of systems and networks.


In 1997, Mr. Gustafson was hired by  Computer Information Concepts (CIC) of Greeley, Colorado as lead technical resource in support of the expansion of Komtek Systems County Government software in Kansas.  In addition to performing day-to-day application software development and support, his duties included mentoring and support for other programming staff, support and maintenance for the company infrastructure (PC’s / Laptops / printers / communications / computer networks), development of conversion software and management of data conversions for new clients (including Miami County KS, Riley County KS, and Montgomery County KS), high-level customer relations and training, and technical liaison to Komtek Systems Corporation.


After leaving CIC in March, 2002, Mr. Gustafson formed a consulting firm and worked with Komtek Systems and various Counties in Kansas in the areas of application development and training.

In May, 2003, Mr. Gustafson rejoined Komtek Systems Corporation as technical director where he continues to work with other staff and business partners in developing, installing, supporting, and maintaining Kansas County Government and related software solutions.
